Chris Bors was born in Ithaca, New York in 1971. He lives and works in Harlem in New York City.
He received his MFA from School of Visual Arts and also studied at Rhode Island School of
Design. His art has been exhibited at PS1 MoMA, White Columns, Sixtyseven and Ten in One
Gallery in New York, Casino Luxembourg in Luxembourg, and the Videoex Festival in Zurich,
Switzerland. His work has been reviewed in The New York Times, Time Out New York,
The Brooklyn Rail, and PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art, as well as being featured in
Vogue Italia, K48 Priznbreak, Razor and zingmagazine. He has curated exhibitions at Here Art
in New York and Vox Populi in Philadelphia and written on art for artnet.com, artinfo.com,
ArtReview, artUS and Artillery. His writing on music has appeared in such publications as
Thrasher, All That, and In-Effect. He hosted the radio show Twisted Melodies on WJFF 90.5 FM
in Jeffersonville, New York.
