Chris Bors was born in Ithaca, New York in 1971. He lives and works in Harlem in New York City.
He received his MFA from School of Visual Arts and also studied at Rhode Island School of Design.
His art has been exhibited at MoMA PS1, White Columns, Envoy, Sixtyseven (Thierry Goldberg),
Heist and Ten in One Gallery in New York, Casino Luxembourg in Luxembourg, Bahnwärterhaus in
Esslingen, Germany, Bongout in Berlin, and the Videoex Festival in Zurich. His work has been
reviewed in The New York Times, Time Out New York, The Brooklyn Rail and PAJ: A Journal of
Performance and Art
, as well as being featured in Vogue Italia, K48, zingmagazine, Old News and
Razor
. He has curated exhibitions and screenings at Envoy and Here Art in New York, Vox Populi
in Philadelphia, and Arcade / Stoa Aeschylou in Nicosia, Cyprus and is the co-director of
Triton Gallery LLC, a curatorial project that was formerly a fictitious gallery. He has written on art
for Artforum.com, ArtReview, Artnet.com, Modern Painters, Artinfo.com, Metroplis M, and Artillery.
His writing on music has appeared in such publications as Thrasher, All That and In-Effect.
